FA Cup | Chelsea 3-1 Huddersfield

Second-half goals from Frank Lampard and Salomon Kalou eased Chelsea into the FA Cup quarter-finals with a 3-1 win after Huddersfield had briefly threatened to cause an upset at Stamford Bridge. Michael Collins stunned Chelsea when he put Town level seconds before half-time to cancel out Lampard's opener in the 18th minute.

Manchester United may be lying in Arsenal's slipstream at the top of the table
but they gained the high ground in the FA Cup following a 4-0 win at Old Trafford. Two goals from Darren Fletcher and one each from Wayne Rooney secured their place in the quarter-final.

Arsenal 2 - 0 Blackburn

Arsenal moved five points clear of Manchester United and a massive

eight points ahead of Chelsea as they scrapped their way to a 2-0 win

over Blackburn Rovers.

Man Utd 1 - 2 Man City

Manchester City completed a league double over Manchester United on

the day the city remembered the 50th anniversary of the Munich air disaster. Darius Vassell put City ahead in the 25th minute and Benjani Mwaruwari,

on his debut following a protracted move from Portsmouth, headed the second. United replied with an injury-time goal from Michael Carrick but City held on.

Liverpool's wretched league run came to an end as three second-half

goals against Sunderland sealed a 3-0 victory and eased the pressure on

the team and manager Rafael Benitez.
